except for the surprises

they want certainty
most things have a natural size and spee and backfire quickl when you push them beyond that
everything worths pursuing
comes with a little pain
the trick is
not minding that it hurts
a taller tree captures more sunlight
but become more vulnerable to wind damage
when the incentives are crazy
the behavior is crazy
people can be led to
justify and defend nearly anything
the long run
is just a collection of
short runs you have to put up with
